Med Disposal
Power of Putnam hosts a Drug Take Back through the Drug Enforcement Agency where unused, unwanted, or expired medications can be turned in and disposed of. We have several locations at pharmacies around all of Putnam county including Cooekville, Algood, Monterey, and Baxter. During the Drug Take Back we provide drug disposal packets that can be taken home to safely discard several pills at a time. On October 29, 2022 Power of Putnam alongside local law enforcement collected over 800 pounds of medications. The next Drug Take Back will be hosted April 29, 2023!
Med Lockboxes
Lockboxes are used to secure medications and keep your home and loved ones safe. Medication lockboxes, both refrigerated and regular, are distributed at various events including the Senior Expo and Drug Take Back. We also provide medication lock boxes to various locations upon request. Contact Power of Putnam if you or your business are in need! If you have medications you need to dispose of, prescription drug drop boxes are installed in Putnam County at the following locations: Algood Police Department, Cookeville Police Department, Monterey Police Department, Putnam County Sheriff's Department and Walgreens. This initiative ensures safe and secure disposal and prevents medications from falling into the wrong hands.
